Atûm is committed to providing homes that will stand the test of time. We believe that all homes must achieve the highest level of efficiency to be comfortable to live in. An Atûm home will be precisely designed to function with minimal energy input; to use the sun (and shade from it) where necessary, to have an airtight external envelope with precisely calculated mechanical ventilation and be easy to use for the inhabitants. Our specially designed panels have minimal thermal bridges and high levels of insulation to keep all the heat (or cool in summer) indoors.
Healthy living.
The materials used within the panels are all as natural as possible, while we constantly re-assess the best methods and materials to reduce our carbon footprint. We are committed to reducing unhealthy chemicals (VOC’s) in the construction to reduce health problems for inhabitants, but also limit impact on wildlife and the natural world.
Zero-carbon.
This level of efficiency in design is not just reserved for the bespoke, designer house. We have worked hard to construct a modular system that can be implemented in different settings, and function long-term with the highest performance therefore lowest running costs. While we often think of needing to keep warm in our climate, the future is projected to be much hotter, and Atûm will work with both, to be comfortable in both winter and summer. This will help us meet zero-carbon targets.
